Abstract:

Coronary heart disease (CAD) is the leading cause of death specially among elderly. Coronary angiography is the best diagnostic method in the patients, but is unfortunately an invasive procedure with its inherent risks. Myocardial perfusion scan is a noninvasive and sensitive method for evaluation of CAD and is suggested by many investigators in recent years. In this study, 64 patients who had a Tc-99m MIBI SPECT myocardial perfusion study at our department, underwent coronary angiography within 4 months. Correlation of the methods revealed that SPECT Tc-99m-MIBI had a high sensitivity and specificity in our hand, which is comparable with international findings.

Tc-99m-MIBI in evaluation of myocardial perfusion [Persian]

Tc-99m-MIBI is an isonrtrile derivative used for evaluation of myocardial perfusion in recent years. In this preliminary report, 7 patients with coronary artery disease are evaluated with Tc-99m-MlBl stress planar and sped studies. Good correlation with coronary angiography is observed in these cases. In view of inherent technical problems present with thallium 201, Tc-99m-MIBi is a good ...

[Adenosine myocardial perfusion SPECT with Tc-99m-MIBI in patients with obstructive coronary artery disease: correlation between quantitative coronary angiography and intravascular ultrasound measurements].

OBJECTIVE To correlate myocardial perfusion scintigraphy (MPS) with Tc-99m-MIBI and adenosine infusion using quantitative coronary angiography (QCA) and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS). METHODS Seventy patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) referred for myocardial perfusion scintigraphy (MPS) with MIBI and adenosine were studied. Clinical, electrocardiographic (ECG), and scintigraphic fi...

Assessment of myocardial perfusion and viability with stress Tc-99m-MIBI SPECT before surgical revascularisation. Correlation with postoperative perfusion improvement.

BACKGROUND The immediate result of successful revascularisation of the myocardium is the improvement of perfusion (and in patients with depressed ventricular function, functional recovery is expected as an effect of coronary flow improvement). The main goal of the work was to assess the value of myocardial stress-rest MIBI perfusion scintigraphy in predicting myocardial perfusion state measured...
